A certificate for routine surgery only will be mailed for use at a participating veterinary hospital. The cost of the certificate is as follows: male cat, $45; female cat, $60, male dog, $60; and female dog, $75. Restrictions do apply. Any charges not covered by the certificate must be paid by the pet owner to the veterinarian. SNAP will provide a list of participating veterinarians in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. SNAP certificates expire 6 months from the date of issue. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your money order or certified check made payable to SNAP. No personal checks are accepted. The sports that are offered are: in the fall, soccer and power lifting; in the winter, basketball; in the spring, aquatics, boccie; in the summer, cycling, kayaking, and golf. All sports are available at no or minimal cost to the athletes. Travel outside the county for practices may be necessary.
The United Way of Caroline County provides financial support to a broad range of programs and services that promote the quality of life where we live. The United Way supports a variety of County and regional nonprofits that care for the young, old, needy, and those suffering from serious illness.
The United Way does not make direct grants to individuals. All fund are provided through agencies to support their missions.
