The Chesapeake Bay Community Band was formed in 1994 as the Kent Island Volunteer Marching Band and incorporated as a 501c3 Non Profit Organization. The group performs public concerts and provides musical support for community functions in Queens Anne's County Maryland and the surrounding Chesapeake Bay Region. The group became the Chesapeake Bay Community Band in October of 2009. As is the tradition with community bands, the group includes musicians from all walks of life. The band's repertoire includes marches, classic concert band literature and Broadway favorites. The Chesapeake Bay Community Band is opened to anyone who plays a concert band instrument and has the desire to perform in a community band. We are always looking for new members. The band rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm at the American Legion located at 800 Romancoke Road, Stevensville, MD 21666.
