The volunteer office serves as the point of contact for persons to donate goods and services to the community at large. They are able to provide children with school supplies at the beginning of the school year, toys, clothing, and other items for Christmas.
Offers free public computers with internet access, free wifi, color printing for $.25 a page, black and white copying for $.25 a page, free scanning, free access to databases, books by mail, a family information center, meeting rooms, faxing for $1.00 per fax, and free access to books, ebooks, audiobooks, DVD's, magazines, newspapers, and CD's.
Proctoring can be done, by appointment, Monday - Friday between 3:00 - 6:00pm, the customer requesting this service is responsible for getting details of the requirements for the proctored session OR should initiate contact between the testing entity and staff at the library. Proctoring will only be done at the Central Library location in Denton and will only be scheduled if staff are available.
Food pantry for people in need of food assistance. Families are required to show proof of income (paystubs) and of residence (utility bill). Open the 2nd Saturday of every month from 8:30 -10:30 am. Drop-off sites to donate to the pantry are Connie's Cut Above in Goldsboro, Anita's Hair House in Henderson, and most north county area churches. If you would like to help at the food pantry we would ask that you be at the church by 7:30am to help setup and get ready.
Tuckahoe Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, building materials, appliances and home decor and is an independently owned nonprofit. Proceeds are used for local Habitat for Humanity projects.
