The Boy Scouts of America is the Delmarva Peninsula's foremost youth program of character development and values based leadership training. In the future Scouting will continue to: Offer young people responsible fun and adventure; Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath & Law; Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership; Serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based program.
Specializes in Christian summer camps, retreats, family reunions, church activities, and other special events. Facilities are available for rental, including a pavilion, cabins, and a large retreat center. Camp Todd, provided by the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council, Inc., provides the following services: bird watching, boating, swimming, campgrounds & camping, hiking, orienteering, GPS trails, zip line, challenge course and a nature trail. Camp and facilities can be rented by private organizations.
Denton Camp is a Christian Campground and retreat center that is perfect for groups of all sizes from 20-300 (and concerts up to 800). We offer a quiet sanctuary with modern day conveniences perfect for spiritual retreats and training events. For retreats, we offer overnight lodging in dormatories, RV spaces, and cottages as well as meeting spaces including two dining halls and a gym. We also offer wonderful outdoor amenities including a playground, pond, pavilion, and sports fields.
Girl Scouts serves girls throughout the Delmarva Peninsula. The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interest of participating girls. It provides girls with a wide variety of leadership opportunities. The program encourages increased skill-building and responsibility, and also promotes the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills.
