Adkins Arboretum

Purpose: 
Adkins Arboretum, a 400-acre native garden and preserve, promotes the conservation and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay region's landscapes. As a model for land management and ecological restoration, the Arboretum fosters community engagement and inspires the adoption of land stewardship practices for a healthier and more beautiful world.
Services Provided: 

This 400-acre preserve is located on the Tuckahoe Creek and includes portions of the region's most significant wetlands. Offers four miles of walks, education programs, art exhibits, lectures, workshops, garden tours, and Nursery Hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday's 10-4 April through October. Public amenities include a visitor's center with gift shop, library, and meeting room. Many volunteer opportunities available. Visitor's center open Guided Nature Walks 1st Saturday of every month 10:00am Meeting Rooms Gallery rental for Non-profit $100.00 for 4 hours and $150.00 over 4 hours. Corporate or individual $500.00 for 4 hours and $1000.00 for full day. Rentals are during normal hours of Tuesday - Friday 10:00 - 4:00. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
