Chesapeake Voyagers, Inc

Purpose: 
Chesapeake Voyagers is a non profit, peer run organization providing support resources, advocacy, training and a safe place to socialize to adults 18 and older with a current or previous mental health and/or substance related condition. Our mission is to promote wellness and recovery by empowering individuals with mental health needs to reach their full potential. We strive to reduce isolation by providing a safe, comfortable, and uplifting environment where individuals can meet others in their community, receive support and obtain helpful information and skills needed to continue in their path to wellness and recovery.
Services Provided: 

1 on 1 peer support with a Peer Support Specialist
Support groups- Emotions anonymous, Depression and Anxiety Recovery, WRAP training classes (Wellness and Recovery Action PLan) Nar-Anon meetings
Social activities: weekly community dinner, game and movie night, field trips, use of computers, printing, Wii, Netflix, DVD movies and library resources.
Assistance with hosing and job placement
Information on addiction and Mental Health related Conditions an local resources
Monthly Lunch and Learn seminars focusing on Mental health and/or substance abuse topics
