Professional Development to improve the ability of child care professionals to deliver quality early learning opportunities to all children. All courses are provided through Chesapeake College's Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Training. Capacity Building to include: program accreditation, credentialing, assistance with enrolling and moving up in the EXCELS program, accessing MSDE training and program start-up vouchers, program start up, and classroom management. Project Right Steps is a free service that addresses the needs of child care providers and parents that are dealing with children (0-5) with challenging behaviors. Project Right Steps is designed to support changes in the child's behavior through the specialist's work with both the child care provider and the family. Chesapeake HELPS!: is an information and referral line that provides information about local services in Queen Anne's County through counselors and through an internet web page. www.chesapeakehelps.org. 1-866-722-4577. LOCATE Child Care: provides assistance in searching for a child care provider for parents 1-877-261-0060. Provides scholarship funds for qualified child care providers who are seeking their Associate Degree in Early Childhoos Education through the Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund. CCCRC provides a counselor who can assist providers who are approved by MSDE to receive the scholarship funds.
