Highly trained Family Support Workers deliver home visiting services to families facing some challenges. Using the "Growing Great Kids" curriculum, the Family Support Workers offer support services, resources and education for prenatal / postpartum women, fathers, and infants. We conduct developmental screenings for children, provide referrals to community resources and provide information regarding essential parenting tips. The program is voluntary and geared towards each family's individual needs

Free, confidential services include self-administered pregnancy tests, prenatal and parenting classes, adoption information, post abortion support, mentoring, and referrals to community services. There is also an abstinence program that helps teens and adults make the right choices about friends, dating, and future goals. Fathers are welcome to participate in several of the programs. Heart to Heart mentoring now takes place by scheduled appointments with each woman's mentor at both person's availability. Volunteers accepted. Hotline is open 24 hours 1-800-848-5683.

Meetings are held the 1st Thurs. of every month at old Choptank Electric building (Bus 404 & Rte 328) in Denton, MD. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the meeting begins at 7 PM. If schools are closed that day due to inclement weather, then the meeting is canceled. Guest speakers present on different aspects of quilting. Every year the group picks a service project to work on for the community.

His Hope Haven accepts single men and women, as well as family groups, as guests. Potential guests MUST be referred through the Caroline County Dept. of Social Services. The shelter opens at 5:30 PM and guests are provided with dinner, breakfast the next morning, and a packed lunch. Shower facilities are available. Guests leave at 7 AM each morning. Guests without transportation are driven into Denton, and picked up there later. Volunteers accepted and donations appreciated.
